A stunning and rare architectural statement piece designed by Flavio Poli for Seguso Vetri d’Arte, circa 1950s/60s. This "Winged" or "Flame" silhouette is one of Poli's most iconic forms, utilizing the sophisticated Sommerso (submerged) technique to create a brilliant core of ruby red encased in a warm amber and heavy clear glass.
Standing at a commanding 17 inches, this is a significantly larger and more substantial example than the standard production sizes.
The hand-pulled "wings" create incredible light refraction, making it a perfect focal point for a mantel or entryway.
