Striking pair of large-scale hand-blown glass hurricane shades in a rich blue-green hue, attributed to Royal Leerdam for Colonial Williamsburg, circa 1970s.
Based on an historic Williamsburg form, each features a beautifully proportioned baluster silhouette with a flared rim and broad circular foot. At an impressive 17.5 inches tall, the pair has wonderful presence and looks particularly striking on a dining table, mantel, console, or center table.
The saturated blue-green glass catches the light beautifully and shows the subtle variations characteristic of hand-blown glass.
