We are often asked where did we start?
The idea behind Ernest Clair NYC came from socializing with friends and colleagues in the Hamptons, Greenwich, and New York City; many of whom expressed the need for luxury goods that you would not necessarily see walking down the street beside you.
Situated on the east end of Long Island; two lifelong friends decided to step out on their own and create a line. “Ernest”, with over 20 years of international trading and investing experience, and “Clair”, with more than 25 years of experience with some of the biggest names in fashion and trend forecasting.
Ernest Clair is special and caters to the sophisticated palate of their target consumer. Someone who wants on-trend product, but yet high quality, timeless pieces that can be worn anywhere from the beach to a night out on the town.
We cater to only select locations and better chain stores; with a very limited distribution to keep things unique, spot-on in design, and very personal.
Our branding is subtle, because our noteworthiness is in the design, quality, and wear-ability of any item we create.
