This is a regal pair of Antique Chinese Dragon Jade Vessels with their Custom Rosewood Stands, circa 1920, Qing / … Read more This is a regal pair of Antique Chinese Dragon Jade Vessels with their Custom Rosewood Stands, circa 1920, Qing / Republic Era. Excellent condition as these were stored and not displayed. These are hand carved from natural celadon green nephrite jade. The bodies are Pixiu dragons (dragon head and lion bodies) with rings on the front and back signifying spiritual protection. Read the description in the photo gallery about these Pixiu - symbolic mythical creatures. The filials (top covers) are carved with birds carrying Lingzhi mushrooms symbolizing longevity. The bodies each weigh 2lbs 12.2oz and 2lbs 9.2oz and the lids weigh 10.2 oz together. Their custom carved stands look like swirling Ruyi clouds for prosperity. These vessels are apx 8” tall x 7.25” x 3” on their stands. See less
