Brass hasp added and polished brass strap corners typical of the genre. Used to transport silks and fabrics back to England. Use as a blanket chest, at the foot of the bed or as a coffee table. It has been refinished and the feet added which makes it ideal when using it as a coffee table so that your feet don't hit the box.
