American, sturdy, both traditional and colorful.

Presents with a very appealing old red stain / wash finish with similarly old flat finish medium blue paint on the interior, and rear.

Single shelf inside and still very sturdy large iron hinges, as are correct for better pieces of the period.

Very nice BIG dovetail construction - very substantial overall.

Polished edge on the top, which features very tight two board construction.

Flat bottom construction, and a very clean underside.

Tidy inside - clear was a treasured piece.

35" wide, 18" tall, 18.25" deep.

This is a very cool trunk - at once traditional American with a whimsical side of Atlantic blue!

The color way of this is what captured out interest - the red wash and robin's egg blue flat paint are a striking combination which only add to this piece's appeal.
