"She never looked nice. She looked like art and art wasn't supposed to look nice; it was supposed to make you feel something." - RR
When you visit Marguerite Guitreau, I want you to feel like you are window shopping in your favorite hideaway atelier in Paris. I want you to dream a little - get swept up in the stories of how these pieces were made, and the interesting lives they may have lived before ultimately, coming to your home.
My company is named after my beloved grandmother. Like my creole Mémé, this store is quirky, colorful, uptown but not uptight, French, cultured, stylish, both slim and curvy, often irreverent, always changing, and ever-so-slightly haunted.
I search the globe for rare antique and vintage home goods and furnishings. Part of the company's mission is also to find and introduce emerging artists and give them a platform to elevate and showcase their talent. It’s a joy to find these pieces for you!
Whether you live in 600 or 6000 sqft, a well-appointed home is a love letter to yourself. Good bones, good light, and good humor - these are essential ingredients, but it's those unexpected pieces that keep things interesting. What thrills you? For me, there is nothing sexier than a well-stamped passport! I am searching for those rare and wonderful pieces to help you create a well-seasoned, inspired home.
Customer service, transparency, and quality are of the highest importance to me. I strive for excellence in every aspect of my business, and I thank you for trusting me with yours.
