Welcome to the debut of our shop! We are just beginning to curate our digital gallery, but we couldn't wait to lead with these exceptional seasonal pieces from the historic 1955 Stubbins 'Idea Home.' Please follow us as we add more Mid Century and MCM adjacent art, furniture, ceramics, and architectural finds over the coming days.
In 1955, renowned architect Hugh Stubbins designed the "Idea Home of the Year" for Better Homes & Gardens—a vision of modern living built to be enjoyed, not just admired. We spent eight years as stewards of the Eugene, Oregon model, meticulously curating a collection that honored the home’s Mid-Century roots and its blend of Asian influences.
These pieces weren't kept in a showroom; they were the backdrop of our daily lives. As a result, our collection possesses a genuine "lived-in" character. While we have meticulously cared for and maintained every item, they carry the honest patina of over seven decades of use—small marks of history that distinguish true vintage from modern reproductions.
We believe in the beauty of the "very good" and the "well-loved." We are offering these storied anchors at prices that reflect their genuine vintage status, making high-level architectural design accessible for homes meant to be lived in.
