1960s Mid-Century Green "Fat Lava" Sculptural Lamp - Artisan House Style
A tour-de-force of Mid-Century ceramic art, this 26-inch table lamp features an exceptionally heavy 'Fat Lava' drip glaze. The variegated moss and emerald green surface is deeply cratered and volcanic, offering a tactile, organic energy that bridges the gap between lighting and sculpture.
The ceramic body is mounted on a substantial, tiered spun-metal pedestal base with a vintage bronze finish—a silhouette highly characteristic of Artisan House (Jere Studios) designs from the late 1960s. It maintains original or vintage electrical components: the Leviton brass-tone socket, cooper plug and cloth-covered/ribbed cord in good visual condition.
