MINGEI TO MODERN
I attended my first auction in 1962. I came home with one of the first commercially produced TVs, which I subsequently restored. A decade later, the purchase and sale of Victrolas and early blues and jazz records covered a Ramen Noodles-based diet through art school. After college, my acquisitions expanded to a bit of everything, from Stickley furniture to a small collection of Persian ceramics that I later sold to the head curator of Islamic arts at the Metropolitan Museum of Art, in NYC.
Since its inception, I had exhibited at the Pier Show in NYC, offering examples of modernist design. My inventory of Bauhaus and Wiener Werkstätte Ceramics and glass drew repeated customers worldwide. Several items sold are now in the permanent collections of major museums, including the Bauhaus-Archiv in Berlin.
I encourage your questions regarding any of my listings. Requests for detailed photos, provenance, condition reports, and additional documentation are welcome.
