During the decades following 1976, I sold hundreds of pieces of what we termed Checho-Deco Glass. Many of those pieces included those designed by artists like Michael Powolny, Koloman Moser, and Dagobert Peche for Johann Loetz. Of those not attributable to a designer, some playful modernist pieces stood well on their own. The hand-painted enamels on this piece are reminiscent of tribal weavings, and the vibrant colors against a yellow ground represent some of the best of this second tier. It is in great condition and offered at a great price. See less
