This distinctive vessel features a rounded body, tall ring handle, large filling opening, and smaller drinking spout. Botijos were designed to naturally cool water through evaporation and are now wonderful examples of Spanish folk pottery and rustic Mediterranean décor.

The handle is impressed “España – Agost Alicante.” Studio name has faded.  The remaining portion of the stamp is faint from age and wear.

Measures approximately 10.5 inches tall and 6 inches wide.

Vintage condition with surface discoloration, dark marks, small firing irregularities, and general wear consistent with age and handmade pottery. No obvious cracks or major chips observed. The interior has not been tested for modern food safety, so it is being offered primarily as a decorative collectible. Please review all photographs closely for condition.

A striking piece for a Spanish pottery collection, rustic kitchen display, Mediterranean décor, or farmhouse interior. See less
