The jar features a rounded, shouldered form with a fitted domed lid. The body is richly painted against a creamy white ground with a lively scene of large, stylized chrysanthemum blossoms in pink and yellow, surrounded by blue and green foliage, bamboo-like leaves, and a small butterfly in flight near the shoulder. The lid is decorated with a smaller, complementary floral spray. The reverse side of the jar bears a four-character inscription in black calligraphy reading "安居乐业" (An Ju Le Ye), which translates to "Living in Peace and Working in Contentment," a classic motif symbolizing a harmonious and prosperous life, accompanied by a small red seal mark. The base bears a two-character underglaze blue mark reading "玩玉" (Wan Yu), a hallmark often found on 19th/20th-century scholar's objects and fine wares. This is a highly decorative and collectible piece, perfect for storing tea or displaying as part of an Asian art collection.
