This vase is from the German Democratic Republic region (East Germany, after treaties were signed). She is made of ‘Fine Bone China’ as stamped on the bottom and hand painted by the artist who has added their initials (AR) alongside the origin/manufacturing stamp! Which makes this little girl much more collectable! It was common for an artist (known or unknown) to fashion a line of pottery or a set of dish-ware and scribe their initials on these pieces, giving them more appeal and more value, then & now!
This Reichenbach porcelain vase is 7 1/4 inches tall, is hand painted with purple, yellow, blue & pink flowers and trimmed with elegant Victorian gold designs around the floral patterns and around the base and top lip. Some were rimmed in 24karat gold! I’ve not tested mine, but when it’s yours, maybe there’s still a surprise waiting for you!
This vase was crafted around the 1970’ in eastern Germany. She has been double clear coat glazed, kiln fired & is completely water tight. And would look absolutely perfect with some pink, blue, yellow or purple flowers standing out the top!
