This kind of chest was a typical piece of furniture in rich houses in the Adriatic region of the Balkan peninsula and was given to a daughter at her wedding to bring her belonging to the new home. Made in the Balkans, mid 19th Century. Good antique condition with visible signs of time and use. See less
