A beautifully crafted black clay pottery vessel from Oaxaca. Unique to the region, the black clay in extracted from the surrounding hills, cleaned for over a month of impurities, and then hand-molded into shape and decorated which can take up to 20 days. After three weeks of drying, the pieces are hand-burnished and then fired.
Intricate and precise detailing throughout with a woven base.
