The seashell is multihued and glistens with the light catching on the many radiating ribs. This is a fine stand alone piece that can also serve as a vase or cachepot. Overall very good condition, typical firing irregularities, normal craquelure to the glazes. Probably Italian or Portuguese, 20th Century, very closely modeled on the Minton original with slight changes: brighter coloring over all and modifications to the way the tails wrap around the base. No marks.
