Excellent Pre-Owned Condition.
This whimsical pattern’s name, Horseshoe, is a collector assigned name, as Indiana Glass did not name its patterns beyond a line number. Pattern No. 612 made its debut in 1930 and was retired in 1933. The pattern was offered in four colors, what you see in the photos is the yellow color, a crisp clear pale yellow. The whimsical pattern consist of semi-circles surrounded by flowers, swags and scrolls. The semi-circles are what inspired the nickname Horseshoe, which if you only see the top of the arc it looks more like a horseshoe than if you see the full design. In excellent condition with little to no visible wear, save a random occlusion, not unusual in glass and original to the manufacturing process. Each bowl measures 6” x 1½” D/H; together they weigh 1 lb. 11 oz.; medium is crisp pale yellow moulded pressed glass. FYI, in some of the photos where the four bowls are stacked, the color looks darker which is not the true color it's just the way they photograph together and is the various light. The color is truly a pale crisp yellow. For a collector of the Horseshoe pattern or for a yellow Depression glass enthusiast, this whimsical quartet will add a sparkling touch of color to any tabletop!
