Wedgwood Queensware 20 piece place service for 4. This is a beautiful set of dishes that has a light blue body which Wedgwood call Lavender and white embossed grapevine on the edge. (Wedgwood calls this lavender but it’s sky blue.)There were 3 borders for this line and this is the shell border. That blue and white embossed grapevine pattern is the absolute quintessential Wedgwood Queensware look. This pattern was designed by Josiah Wedgwood in 1760. He gave a tea-set to Queen Charlotte and that is why it is named Queensware.
Multiple sets are available to accommodate larger dining configurations of up to twelve place settings. These have a lot of different date marks, one of them was 1933, so they were someone’s passionate collection.
