This is a beautiful vintage Thonet-style bentwood rocking chair featuring a dark stained beechwood frame, dramatic double-scroll sides, sweeping curved arms, and woven cane seat and back panels. Inspired by the iconic Victorian-era designs of Michael Thonet, the chair has an especially sculptural silhouette that also complements Art Nouveau, bohemian, and traditional interiors.
The cane appears intact, while the wooden frame displays scattered finish wear and cosmetic imperfections consistent with age and use. One repaired break pictured, some screws replaced previously pictured, no damage to caning.
