This is an awesome find, an original oil on canvas painting by Gunilla. The painting features a child with large eyes with a flute or horn playing to a peace dove. Everyone who grew up in the 1960s or 70s remembers those prints on cardboard of children with large eyes. These were sold though department stores like Sears and Woolworth and are iconic to that time. The painting is set in a Mid-Century Modern frame. This is a rare painting, I cannot even find a print of it available and this is the original oil on canvas.
The frame measures 19 1/8" x 25 1/8"
Sight seen dimensions are 13 1/4" x 19 1/4"
Artist: Gunilla is an artist that was at her height during the 1960s or 70s. She was commissioned by several department stores to paint a number of pieces featuring large-eyed girls. Her paintings all had a very haunting and creepy tone. Her prints on cardboard sell for $50-100. This is an original painting on canvas.
Condition: The painting is in excellent condition with no damage or signs of wear. The canvas is taught and flat and the colors are bright. The frame has some minor wear but is in good condition overall.

The Chairish Buyer Guarantee ensures that you have complete peace of mind when

- Chairish Express In-Home deliveries are currently only offered for international cross-border shipments.
- The item will be delivered to your home and placed in the desired room. The delivery service includes unpacking, inspecting, and removing packaging materials; and does not include installation or setting up the item.
- Shipping charges start at $999 and vary based on the size, weight, packaging, and/or the value of the item.
- Deliveries can take anywhere from 6 to 9 weeks to be delivered.
- Chairish Freight Delivery
- Delivered in a crate, to your front door.
- You will need tools and/or equipment to open the crate.
