BIOGRAPHY:
Antoine Auguste Villard, born April 17, 1867 in Mâcon and died February 4, 1934 in Paris, is a French painter, naturalist and impressionist. After a first career as an industrialist (like his father, a banker in Mâcon), it was not until around 1907 that he devoted himself fully to painting.
