A charming vintage Peruvian hand-carved gemstone parrot sculpture featuring two birds perched atop a carved stone base.
Each parrot is sculpted from green serpentine stone with warm ochre and red detailing, mounted on brass feet and talons that give wonderful contrast and character. The birds are expressive and slightly whimsical, with carved feather detailing throughout.
Likely dating to the 1970s–1980s, these export carvings were popular decorative objects throughout South America and the United States and remain highly collectible for their tropical charm and sculptural presence.
A perfect accent for a coastal, organic modern, or Palm Beach-inspired interior.
