Crafted from heavy bronze with a rich, gilded finish, the statue features exceptional high-relief, repoussé, and chased detailing, accented with vibrant polychrome paint.

The deity is portrayed in a fierce, standing posture with a bulbous, expressive face. He has bulging eyes, a wide grimacing mouth with a red tongue protruding downward, and prominent fangs, all framed by red, flame-like hair. He wears an elaborate, multi-tiered crown intricately detailed with skulls and jewels, along with large circular earrings.

His body is adorned with an ornate necklace and a beaded chest plate, while a green scarf is draped over his shoulders. He holds a small, round object (possibly a mirror or a skull cup) in front of his chest with both hands, and a red sash tied at his waist hangs down the front of his richly engraved robes. The back of the statue features flowing black hair, a green cape, and deeply chased, swirling cloud motifs. The figure stands on a triangular, gilt bronze base with a geometric pattern along the edges, and the underside is hollow with a dark patina. This powerful piece is perfect for a home altar, meditation space, or as a striking focal point in a collection of Asian art.
