How do you accessorize a bedroom dresser?
To decorate a bedroom dresser first choose what objects you want to display on it. Books, vases, framed photos, and decorative objects are all popular choices. From a functional standpoint, table lamps are often included as well. As you are slecting your objects, consider choosing a color palette to work within. Master stylist Laurie Furber from the Bay Area-based vintage wonderland Elsie Green says, “I tend to look at objects in terms of their color rather than their shape: there’s nothing chicer than a collection of black stoneware in every shape imaginable all lined up on a shelf.” Another Elsie tip? “Follow the rule of three. The elements in your vignette should be in odd numbers. Don’t be afraid of asymmetry and always throw in something more modern looking for contrast. I love rules— but I also love breaking them!”
