I’m Carol, the curator behind The Heirloom Shelf, based in Michigan. What began with a simple $6 vintage find quickly turned into a passion for sourcing pieces that others might overlook—and reimagining how they can be used today.
Drawn to glassware, decorative accents, and timeless objects, I look for items that bring both character and versatility to a space. A silver-plated bowl might become a soap dish on a vanity, a small dish a catch-all on a dresser—each piece chosen not just for what it was, but for what it can become.
As I source, I’m continually learning about makers, materials, and the details that give each item its story. Every piece in The Heirloom Shelf is thoughtfully curated, honestly presented, and carefully packed, ready to be enjoyed in its next home.
