A striking vintage table lamp by Wildwood, featuring an elaborately decorated ceramic body with an Asian-inspired Chinoiserie design.
The substantial urn-form body has a warm ivory hand-painted ground covered with delicate scrolling decoration and stylized floral motifs. Deep green borders at the shoulder and base are embellished with multicolor floral details and rich gilt accents, creating a wonderfully layered and ornate appearance.
Satsuma-style pottery featuring the hybrid artistic technique of Totai Shippo.
The ceramic body is mounted on a dark wood base and finished with brass-tone hardware. The aged brass cap displays visible natural patina and oxidation consistent with age, adding to the lamp's vintage character. It has not been polished.
The lamp retains its harp and finial and has been tested and is in working condition, as shown in the photographs. Shade is not included.
An impressive statement lamp for a Chinoiserie, Grandmillennial, Traditional, Hollywood Regency or collected interior.
Condition: Good vintage condition with age-appropriate wear. Visible patina/tarnish and oxidation are present on the brass cap and hardware. Ceramic presents beautifully. Please review photographs for details of the vintage finish and condition. This lamp still retains the original wiring, it is suggested that the wiring/plug be updated.
