I' have had a lifetime of fascination with secondhand objects. This intrigue was gained while traveling with my flight attendant mother throughout the hidden boutiques and flea markets of Paris, London, Hong Kong and Central America. Traveling the world as a child in the 1970's was a rare and unique experience facilitated by discounted and sometimes even gratis seats on Pan American World Airways. I was blessed to travel the globe at a time that very few kids' families could afford a family vacation to Europe or Asia. My mother had an eye for beautiful and rare objects and purchased both new and old for boutiques and specialty stores throughout the San Francisco Bay Area. She was loved by shop owners because she was tasked with finding the rare and unusual at a time that the internet did not exist. This exposure to travel at such an early age led me to recognize the beautiful shapes found in everyday objects and lead me down my path to major in art Studi and Design at the University of California, Davis. I took a college apprenticeship as a product developer in the textile and home fashion industry. It was not the most enjoyable course of study, but it gave me the skills to spot unique vintage objects in ordinary places such as thrift stores, garage sales and even the occasional dumpster. I am a part time vintage dealer and a full-time textile designer, and I finally understand that the early exposure to the secret shops I scouted with my mom in faraway places gave me skills that I use every single day while out an about. I find that each and every day is an adventure and I pride myself in finding rare and hard to find objects for interior designers and collectors. I moved to the beautiful foothills of Northern California almost three years ago and am overwhelmed at the trove of homes that are filled with unusual and rare objects. Moving to an area that has less competition for beautiful and hard to find objects has allowed me to further expand my search for beautiful things and I have developed an even keener sense of spotting amazing things. I am Anna, The Artist, designer, curator and Interior Designer in my free time. I pride myself on bringing items back to their former glory, sometimes repainting or fixing a small chip. This beautiful space on Chairish is where I offer beautifully designed quality vintage and sometimes new items gathered from all corners of the globe and the occasional dumpster dive in my own backyard.
Since I am not a full-time business, I don't need to mark things up equivalent to what a business must in order to survive. I do my best to offer beautiful objects at very reasonable prices. If you are looking for something special and it's not here in my shop, please ask. I can go out on the hunt, and I may surprise you!
