The design is rendered in sterling silver and red resin and depicts an abstracted chess board with a large rook in the center. The abstracted chess pieces are silver and the red resin pops against the proprietary black phenolic as the backdrop. The tray has remained in good vintage condition, its free of any damages such as chips, cracks, deep scratches, or stains. This tray’s design is a great example of the companies mid century period work. This rare object will enhance any gaming room or gathering.
I have been a collector of Couroc long before it became fashionable to collect and I have happily watched the value of these trays increase significantly over the past decade. Couroc trays are harder to find now due to the high demand by collectors.
