Mindy’s Second Story began as a passion project long before it had a name. I’ve been collecting vintage china and glassware since I was a teenager — drawn to the history, beauty, and forgotten craftsmanship of pieces that once sat on someone’s table or in their china hutch.
Over the years, I’ve worked in fine china and bridal registry shops, helped friends downsize family estates, and developed an eye for the kinds of items that deserve a second life. I even spent part of the 1970s working for one of the first importers of Murano glass in the U.S., and I still have some of those early pieces in my own collection today.
After retiring from a long career in telecom and data analysis, I shifted full-time into this shop — combining my love of vintage with my lifelong knack for careful handling, research, and presentation. Every item I list is cleaned, measured, photographed, and packed by me. I was taught to pack crystal and china by the woman who trained FedEx — so yes, I take packaging seriously. Nothing I ship breaks. Ever.
Mindy’s Second Story is about more than just selling things — it’s about honoring stories, completing sets, and helping someone rediscover a memory at the back of a cabinet or the edge of a holiday table.
