Large, ornate Palekh hand-painted lacquer box, created in 1992 and signed by artist Krasnov.
This scalloped papier-mâché box features a beautifully rendered fairy-tale scene titled “The Slipper” (Башмачка), executed in fine Palekh miniature style with extensive gold ornamentation.
Red lacquer interior, hinged lid, and a glossy, high-polish finish. A superb decorative piece.
