Striking signed Russian Palekh lacquer box featuring the scene “Anastasia,” a forest maiden surrounded by animals. Rendered in the traditional Palekh miniature style with delicate brushwork, rich color, and ornate gilt scrollwork. Glossy black lacquer exterior with deep red interior. A beautifully preserved example of Russian miniature artistry.
