The upholstery is in overall very good shape showing only minor stains which can be seen in the photos provided. With that said there are no odors, rips, or other damage to the upholstery whatsoever. The solid walnut frames are in superb condition showing no deep scratches, gouges or stains whatsoever. These lovely chairs are extremely comfortable, structurally sound and ready for decades more of use.
