Elevate your tablescape with this exceptional, curated set of ten (10) vintage 9.5-inch rimmed soup/pasta bowls in the iconic "Seagull" (Mågestellet) pattern. Originally designed by Fanny Garde in 1895 for Bing & Grøndahl, this timeless Scandinavian pattern features a beautifully blended blue-to-white gradient background, graceful seagulls in flight, and a classic fish-scale textured rim highlighted with elegant gold gilding.
This specific set carries an extra layer of historical provenance, featuring a rare red-gilt script overglaze backstamp from "Wiggo Dahl, København," dating to the 1940s. Wiggo Dahl was a premier mid-century luxury glass and porcelain boutique operating in central Copenhagen, which commissioned these custom retailer stamps directly from the manufacturer for their elite showroom inventory. The undersides also feature the factory's incised mold/shape marks under the glaze.
A magnificent, substantial set perfect for grandmillennial, coastal, or classic traditional dining spaces.
