This is a charming and intricately detailed pair of sculptural bookends, featuring a vintage "Age of Discovery" or nautical theme.
Each piece is cast from synthetic resin and finished to mimic an assemblage of antique objects. One side features a stack of ornate, gold-embossed faux leather books, a black leather-bound telescope, and a compass; the other side continues the stack of books and is topped with a vintage-style yellow globe on a mahogany-colored pedestal base. The pieces are painted with a weathered, distressed finish to give them a rich, antique, and academic character.
These heavy, decorative bookends are perfect for holding up books on a desk, bookshelf, or mantle. They add a touch of classic European library style and wanderlust to any home office, study, or living room.
