A charming pair of ceramic elephant bookends by Takahashi, made in Japan. Each elephant features an upturned trunk, oversized ears, and an ivory crackle glaze with softly shaded gray details.
The elephants stand on green rectangular bases accented with gold trim. Lovely holding a collection of favorite books or displayed as decorative figures on a shelf or desk.
Retain their Takahashi labels and protective underside coverings, with access to a stoppered opening for adding weight.
