The necks curve back over the wings the way Florentine metalwork of the period liked — decorative first, functional second, and heavy enough to actually do the job.

Sold as a pair.

Acquired at auction as part of an Italian Florentine lot. We have not had them examined, so the Italian attribution travels with the lot rather than from a mark on the pieces themselves. See less
