Elegant antique English white ironstone covered tureen by J. Edwards, featuring the St. Louis shape. Featuring an elegant domed lid topped with a charming tomato-form finial, surrounded by flowing molded foliage, gracefully curved side handles, and a classic pedestal base. Its glossy white finish and timeless silhouette make it a wonderful example of Victorian-era English ironstone.
The underside bears an impressed maker's mark reading "J. Edwards, St. Louis Shape, Fenton." A lovely addition to an antique ironstone collection, this versatile piece displays beautifully on a dining room sideboard, kitchen hutch, or open shelving and complements English Country, French Country, Farmhouse, and Traditional interiors.
