Vintage Home is please to present this set of three Antique French Majolica Salad Plates. They are from Clairefontaine, France and were produced in 1878 by the RS Anchor pottery factory owned by Emile Rigal and his Brother-in-Law Jules Sanejouand. The Clairefontaine factory began producing Majolica pieces around 1860. They became known for the L'art Vegetal designs which is a vegetable and botanical art style that includes green overlapping leaf and vine patterns, stippled backgrounds and basket-weave textures. These three Salad or Luncheon Plates bring the L'art Vegetal style forward in every way. An exceptional addition to your Majolica collection and beautifully presented when used for dining and entertaining
