The vase features a distinctive "flattened belly" (扁肚) form: a flared mouth, a slender, waisted neck, a wide, compressed rounded body, and a short, flared foot. The upper body is covered in a thick, creamy-white slip glaze with a subtle crackle and natural speckling, showing warm, sandy-brown tones where the glaze is thin. The body is decorated with a bold, free-flowing slip-painted design in dark grey: stylized floral sprays or leaf motifs that curve elegantly around the vessel. The lower body and foot are left unglazed, revealing the warm, sandy-orange clay body with visible texture, firing marks, and natural pitting. This is a tactile, rustic piece with a strong wabi-sabi aesthetic, ideal for display or as a decorative vessel for a single stem.
