It’s in the style of Belgian potter Roger Guerin (1894-1954). Guerin was a leading master of the stoneware tradition of Bouffioulx in the 1920s and 1930s. He is famous for his stoneware techniques, modern Art Deco forms and he experimented with glaze effects, especially in blue glazes. This vase features a turquoise teal blue and deep cream with brown glaze. It has vertical ribbed side with hand crafted twisted side handles. It sits on a low-rise pedestal base.
