Lusterware is a type of decorative porcelain or earthenware highly recognizable for its metallic, iridescent glaze that shifts color in the light.

The "Made in Japan" stamp on the back—combined with the Art Deco-influenced color scheme—places these pieces squarely in the 1920s to 1930s (interwar period).
In 1921, U.S. import regulations required items to be marked "Japan" or "Made in Japan" instead of "Nippon".

The plates showcase a classic configuration from this era, featuring a warm peach/ochre center, hand-painted orange and yellow floral sprays, and a prominent iridescent blue-violet luster border.
