A characterful vintage desk lamp by bag turgi, dating from the 1940s. Its minimalist, functional design, featuring a curved metal arm, oval base, and wide metal shade, is typical of early swiss work and office lamps.
the lamp is finished in a dark brown tone with a textured, period-typical crinkle-finish paint. The shade is connected to the arm via a mechanical joint and can be tilted, allowing the light to be directed precisely onto the work surface. The light-colored interior of the shade promotes good light reflection.
the lamp has a pronounced patina of age, giving it a very original appearance. The solid oval base ensures stability, while the curved arm lends the lamp its elegant silhouette.
condition: authentic vintage condition with clear signs of age and use. Paint wear, scratches, small chips, and signs of use are visible on the base, arm, and shade. The joint also shows patina and age-related discoloration.
