Mid-Century Modern enameled steel desk lamp distinguished by a dramatic Space Age silhouette. The broad, flying saucer-style shade pairs a blue-gray enameled steel housing with a warm-toned fiberglass diffuser and perforated circular vent. A cantilevered arm connects the shade to the slender central stalk, allowing it to move gently upward or downward for adjustable task lighting. The matching dished base and brass-tone finial, collar, and pivot accents complete the streamlined atomic-era design. Original Model 2008 manufacturer’s label remains beneath the base.
Dazor Manufacturing Corp. was established in St. Louis in 1938 and became known for innovative adjustable task lamps built around its patented floating-arm mechanism.
