An early 20th-century American adjustable banker’s desk lamp by S. Robert Schwartz & Bro. of New York, featuring a weighted cast-iron base embossed underneath with “S. ROBT. SCHWARTZ & BRO.”
The curved trough-style metal shade incorporates a green cullet chunk glass jewel that glows with an emerald accent when illuminated, while the reflector directs focused light downward. Aged brass and dark metal finishes give the lamp a distinctive industrial character with Art Deco and Arts & Crafts influences.
Dual-point articulation allows adjustment of both the arm angle and the swivel shade. The lamp has been rewired with a modern socket and cord.
Good antique condition with rich patina and surface wear consistent with age and use. Mechanically sound, with smooth-tightening joints.
