Bring refined Neoclassical elegance and timeless architectural structure to your desk, library, or sideboard with this vintage French Empire style three-light bouillotte lamp. Made of solid polished brass, the lamp features three candle-arm lights modeled as sculpted mythic dolphins issuing from a knurled central column. The weighted dish base is detailed with intricate guilloché and leaf molding, designed in traditional bouillotte fashion to hold counter markers or small accessories. Surmounting the brass stem is an arrow-and-finial motif crowned by a spreading American/Napoleonic eagle finial.
The original crimson red tole (painted metal) shade exhibits crackle patina and hand-painted gold anthemia (palmettes), scrollwork, and a laurel leaf border. Equipped with faux-candle sleeves and an in-line switch, this striking piece brings dramatic warmth and classic style to any traditional or eclectic interior.
