Whimsically enchanting petite Châteaucore-style three-faced cherub candle or plant holder with the look-and-feel of an antique French garden statuary. It features an all-around design of three sublime cherub faces resting atop three sets of spread wings. Crafted from Polystone, a casting resin mixed with powdered stone, most often calcium carbonate. The stone powder gives the piece a beautifully weathered stone-like patina with the weight and cool, dense feel of carved stone. There are three distinct cherub faces and each cherub’s head is topped with a wreath-like crown of florals and foliates. Colors are ecru and tan mixed with greige with a pale weathered terracotta undertone.

This cutie measures 6¼” x 4¼” x 5¼” H/W/D; recessed interior 2¼” x 2¼” x 2¼” H/W/D; weight 1 lb. 9 oz. In excellent condition with minimal age-appropriate wear. It hails from the late 20th-century, made sometime in the 1990s. There is no hallmark. Photographed in the round to show all sides and nuances of its design and construction.
