"Offered is a stunning, beautifully proportioned Mid-Century Modern asymmetric writing desk from the celebrated 'Roomates' line by the Baumritter Corporation (the renowned predecessor to Ethan Allen). This versatile compact desk features an impressive solid birch top and four solid birch drawer fronts showcasing a gorgeous, warm blonde wood grain.
The desk features clean, minimalist lines highlighted by iconic tapered legs capped with original brass ferrule cups. True to the high-integrity manufacturing standards of the mid-20th century, the drawer boxes are crafted with durable, interlocking rabbet-and-dado mechanical joinery. It has been recently and meticulously refinished in a premium, hand-buffed natural oil and wax finish, bringing out the wood’s inherent depth while providing satin protection that is wonderful to the touch. Clean inside and out, this is a perfect, compact statement piece for modern apartments or home offices."
