A special set of Rosenthal plates with "G" monogram. These plates are from the early 20th century. This is a custom set, purchased "blank" at a fine department store by a prominent family then commissioned to be hand painted by an artist in Dresden. The Rosenthal green stamp is under the glaze and the script "D" with blue crown in gold is painted over the Rosenthal stamp indicating the process of how and where it was made.
Each initial is painted in it own colorway. The border pattern is a circular, floral wreath pattern with an elaborate gold trim on the edges. These are truly visually rich in detail.
