This listing is for a gorgeous antique mantel clock by Waterbury. This clock is the “Viborg” model.
The clock is made from cast metal with a gilt exterior. The clock has a nice Art Nouveau design with a statue of a blacksmith.
The clock appears to be in overall good condition. Some signs of normal wear and age present. A few small age lines in the metal casing (top ornament directly above the dial). The bezel has some wear. It closes about 95%, but a small portion doesn’t close all the way. This sometimes happens with heavier bezels over time. The statue attaches to the base with 2 screws. One of the screw hole bases has worn out and only 1 screw is present. Colors have been nicely retouched over the year.
The movement is an 8 day time/strike, with chimes on the half hour and hour. It was last serviced in 2019. It ran and chimed when recently tested.
This clock measures about 13.8 x 6.4 x 12.2 inches
